If you have specific questions about our day-to-day activities or the program timeline, simply get in touch and one of our team members will be happy to help.
Language
Speech, language and communication skills are crucial to young children's overall development.Having the ability to communicate and interact clearly, while processing speech sounds, builds your child's confidence and self-esteem.Having the ability to understand others and the ability to express their ideas are fundamental for a child's development.
Music
Music contributes to the development of the brain, it teaches children to focus and helps them to understand maths. Music also provides a form of expression, improves social skills, boost self-confidence and relieves stress.
Movement
Physical activities strengthen bones, muscles, hearts and lungs. It contributes to improving children's coordination, balance, posture and flexibility.
Expressive Arts and Design
Expressive Art and Design is one of the seven areas of development used to develop children's imagination, creativity and their ability to manipulate and use media and material. This can be done in a number of ways, including making music, singing songs, dancing, and playing with textures, colours and designs. It also contributes to developing both fine and gross motor skills. Fine motor skills are essential to a child's school readiness and include providing practice with hand and eye coordination.
Mathematics
Mathematics is an important part of learning which allows children to develop a strong grounding in numbers, necessary to excel, and provides them with vital life skills.
The children are given the resources and varied opportunities to develop their spatial reasoning skills across all areas of mathematics, including investigation, space and measures, sorting objects, naming and identifying shapes and sizes, and problem solving. They also take part in activities such as; setting the tables, collecting items from a shopping list, cooking, counting objects and their relationships with understanding mathematics, which can be applied at home.
Online learning journal
We are very excited to tell our parents about the launch of our new interactive online learning journal. Famly provides our parents, carers & guardians with the opportunity to access personal information about their child's activities, achievements and developments, along with any nursery information. It gives parents/carers the ability to support their child's learning journey and share information with the setting. Parents/carers will also have the opportunity to comment on their child's successes.
Outdoor Play
Outdoor Play is important to all children's development. It enables them to explore their environment, supports their problem solving skills, nurtures their creativity, and provides opportunities for their imagination, inventiveness and resourcefulness. It is also an opportunity for children to acquire fresh air and exercise, which is important for their health.
The outdoor area is an extension of the class, where children can explore all areas of development at their own pace.
No matter what your child's needs or abilities are, each of our programmes and planned activities will provide the support and tools necessary for optimal growth.
